Have students make sentences with these phrases, they should use ‘be going to’.
Rule explanation
T: We usually say: I’m going to do…/ You’re going to be… (circle I’m and You’re). So here we can see when the subject is different, ‘be’ is different.
Show the following chart.

Get students into two groups and practice. Group A write a name, Group B write a verb phrase. Then match them with “be going to”. The group that can first make the sentence correct is the winner.
E.g. A: Jane B: be a doctor
Jane is going to be a doctor.
Listening
Call attention to the picture in activity 2a on page 60 and ask students what Cheng Han is going to be according to the three pictures.
Students listen to the tape and check the correct answer.
Look at the chart. Ask students to read the instructions and point out the sample question and answer.
Listen to the tape again and fill in the chart.
Let students ask and answer questions about the chart to check the answers.
