教材分析:教材主要采用任务形教学模式,融汇话题、交际功能和语言结构。在提高学生听、说、读、写技能的基础上发展综合语言运用能力。面向全体学生,并关注学生情感,激发学生学习英语的兴趣和动机。本节课的教学内容是Go for it八年级When was he born?SectionA.(
学情分析:所教学生进校时英语水平参差不齐,虽然经过一段时间的学习,但仍存在差距。要面向全体学生就要把开始的难度降到最低,帮助学生克服畏难心理。并且要把每个环节练透,作好层层的铺垫工作。
Language goals(语言目标)
1. When were you born? I was born in 1993.
2. When was he born? He was born in 1985.
Teaching approaches:(教学手段)
1. Guessing game;
2. Work in pairs;
3. Group work;
4. Communication with students.
Teaching aids:
1. A radio
2. Pictures made by PowerPoint.
Teaching steps:
Warming up
1) Send the students a sentence “It’s never too old to learn”.
2) Let the students guess the meaning of this proverb.
3) Give them the right answer.
Step one Presentation
1) Say hello to the students and ask them: “How old are you ?”. They will answer “I am 14 years old.” Ask 3 or 4students and explain that “ You are 14 years old so you were born in 1993.” Then lead into the new structure “When were you born?” Help the students answer “I was born in 1993.”
2) Write the structure on the blackboard.
3) Ask student A “When were you born ?” A answer “I was born in 1993” Ask student B “When was he / she born ?” B answer “He /She was born in 1993.”
Let the students work in a group of three to practice the new structure;
以学生熟悉的语言结构引入,过渡自然,并且能使所有的学生容易接受
Step two
1. Show the students some pictures of the popular stars made by PowerPoint .Ask them “Do you like him/her?” and “When was he/she born?”
2. write the “When was he/she born?” and” He /She was born?” on the blackboard”
3. Practice:
1) The teacher ask and the students answer one by one.
2) students in pairs to practice with each other.
3) Pick up several pairs to act in front of class.
学生们对明星感兴趣,对他们也比较了解,这样的话题,能激发学生兴趣,并能巩固练习新语言。
4 Listening comprehension: Do 1b on page 59 and call three students come to the blackboard to write the answers then check the answers. From the flash.
这一环节让学生到前面去听,会使学生的注意力更集中,兴趣更大。
