Let’s talk and Let’s play in Part B Unit3 Book2,PEP Primary Englishi.

A ims and demands:

1. Help the students to hear, say and read the sentences: How many… do you have? I have…;

2. Help the students to use them in the daily life;

3. Help the students to have the spirit of cooperation and creation.

Teaching and process:

Step1: Warm up

1.Greetings: How are you? Nice to meet you!

2.CAI:How many cats can you see? How many rabbits can you see?

3.Sing the songs: (1) Head, shoulders, knees and toes; (2) Ten little candles.

4.Count the numbers 1—20.

5.TPR activities: Stand up, touch your head(eyes,ears, nose ,mouth), clap your hands,wave your arms, snap you fingers, cross you legs, shake your body, stamp your foot. Sit down, open your book,close your book, close your eyes, open your eyes. Look at your book, look at your pencil-case, look at my new pen.

(TPR活动使学生的身心很快地投入到课堂之中,使他们在亲身体验与实践中,自然地学习英语,同时也体会到学习的快乐,活动也就自然地过渡到本节课的内容。)

Step2:Presentation

1. T:Look at my new pen.Is it nice?Yes.How nice. Look at my new sharpener.Is it nice?

The students say: How nice!(If the students can’t say, teach them: How nice! Then write down the sentence.)

2. Show CAI.

A. Look at the blue cat.

The cat: Hello, I have four legs. How many legs do you have?(Help the student to answer: I have two.)

B. Look at //哪吒

哪吒:Hello! I have three heads. How many heads do you have?(Help the students to answer: I have one.)I have six arms. How many arms do you have?(Help the students to answer: I have two.)

C. Look at 二郎神

二郎神:I have three eyes. How many eyes do you have?(Help the students to answer: I have two.)

(利用特殊例子引出新句型,不仅吸引了学生的注意力,激发了学生的学习兴趣,更启发了学生的思维。)

3. Write down the sentences on the blackoard and read them.

4. Show the pens and say: I have three pens.How many pens do you have? Then show rulers, sharpeners,pencils, and ask them the same questions. After the question, the teacher says: You have…

5. A game(A competition between the boys and the girls). Show the stars(in one box) and say:I have many stars. How many stars do I have?Let the students say:You have… If one is right, the teacher says: Open it and say.Please count. That’s right. Then give the winer a star and draw a flag.

(男女生之间的竞赛使学生的学习热情高涨,教师的奖励使学生更大胆地参与语言实践,是他们树立了自信心,体验了成功。)

Write down “Open it and see”, “That’s right.”on the blackboard and read them.

6. A game:Somethings are in the box.The students can’t see. Let the students guess the right sentences:How many … do you have?If they are right, the teacher says: Guess. And let them continue to guess and give them stars.

(学生不仅是问题的回答者,而且是问题的提出者。在游戏中学生提出了问题,在猜测中他们提高了语言的综合运用能力。)

7. Show CAI to watch the dialogue, then answer the question: How many crayons does John have?

8. Read after the tape.

Step3 Practice

1. Practise the dialogue in pairs.

2. Act out the dialogue.

3. A game(A competition between the teacher an the students). Let the teacher guess.

S:How many…do I have?

T:You have…

S:That’s right.(Or sorry.)

The teacher has one chance.If the teacher is wrong, give the student a star.

(教师与学生之间的比赛使学生感受到老师是他们的学习伙伴,他们是学习的主人。)

4. Group work: Collect the stationeries in the group, and ask: How many… do you have?

(在小组合作学习中,每位学生收集一种东西。学生们互相帮助,积极交流,学有所用,有的学生还搜集了别的组没有的东西,比如流行的游戏卡,还学会了cards一词,充分发挥了学习的主体性和主动性,并对新句型进行了创新。)
